Champion Club - Senior Competitions
The Merv Harris Memorial Shield was first introduced in the 1978 Season for Senior Divisions. The following is an excerpt from the Secretary's report from the 1978 BHA Annual Reports.
"The ‘Merv Harris Memorial Shield', to be presented to the Champion Club each season, is based on the "Stan Griffin Club Championship" competition for Juniors. Only Clubs fielding 5 or more teams in Brisbane Fixture competition are eligible. Points are allocated according to the standing of teams in the various divisions."
