The 2000s Cover of BHA Inc Annual Report 2000

The Association's Office was moved in 1999 from the (then) QE II Sports Centre to the newly built office accommodation at the State Hockey Centre (SHC). This began a new era for the Association's with more direct involvement with the facility.

During this decade there were many developments and changes - some for the good, some unfortunate.

Burringbar Park came into being in 2001. The Redcliffe Surface was resurfaced during the early 2000's.

2007 saw Labrador Hockey Club invited into the BHA Competition, and South Brisbane Eagles HC withdraw its last remaining team from BHA Competitions at the end of the first series.

2008 was the last year that Logan HC fielded a male team in the BHA Competition (CHL).

2009 saw the creation of the Brisbane Hockey Management Group (BHMG) to manage the lease and the venue at Burringbar Park, Chermside following the demise of ShawSports.

Reading through each year's report, and in particular reading the President's and the General Secretary's reports therein, provides a summary of the major moments and events of this decade.
