This Radar Gun is ideal for measuring the speed of hockey balls, cricket balls and similar items travelling at 10mph or more. We have found it a great tool when teaching hitting, pushing and drag-flicking techniques as it provides instant feedback. The novelty factor can also be helpful in creating interest while coaching.

The gun is very portable and can be set to read mph or kph with the press of a button. While there are more expensive models available, the extra specs they offer aren't considered to be worth the extra cost. We purchased our Bushnell Radar Gun on ebay from the US with it arriving in just over a week.

At just under US$80 + US$25 delivery (in 2011), it cost us at total of A$104.26 delivered. (The A$ and US$ were close to parity at the time)
