BHA Competitions
Brisbane Hockey Association manages competitions targeted at various age groups - Seniors, Juniors and Masters. After the creation and ratification of each of the Competitions Draws they will be accessible via the side menu.
Please select your competition or area of interest from the side menu.
Fixture Dates for 2012
The following dates have been prepared prior to the commencement of the 2012 Season. They have been approved by the BHA General Committee. Please use them as a guide to planning, however be mindful that as always, they remain subject to change should the need arise.
The proposed commencement dates for each of the Competitions are:
- BHL Competitions:
- BHL1 & 2 - Sat 17 Mar
- BHL3, 4, 5 & 6 - Sun 18 Mar
- CHL Competition: Sat 14 April
- Junior Boys' Competitions:
- J1 - Fri 23 Mar
- Under 13, J2 & J3 - Sat 31 Mar
- Under 11 - Sat 14 Apr
- Under 7 & Under 9 - Fri 13 Apr
- Masters Competitions: Tue 6 Mar
The Grand Finals are proposed for the following dates:
- BHL Competitions:
- BHL1, 2 & 3 - Sat 15 Sep
- BHL4, 5 & 6 - Sun 9 Sep
- CHL Competition: Sat 8 Sep or Sun 9 Sep - to be confirmed!
- Junior Boys' Competitions:
- J1 - Fri 7 Sep
- Under 13, J2 & J3 - Sat 8 Sep
- Under 11 - Sat 8 Sep
- Under 7 & Under 9 (no finals series) - Carnival Days - Sat 16 Jun & Sat 1 Sep
- Masters Competitions: Tue 11 Sep - to be confirmed!
BHL1 Match Reports
Links to BHL1 Match reports will appear in this section throughout 2012 under 'Brisbane Hockey League'. As in previous years, this initiative is spearheaded by Lee Oliver with assistance from volunteers, journalism students and hockey players. These reports also contain photos. A page of links to Hockey related content in the online Press will alsobe found here.
TV & YouTube
This year BHA and BWHA have invested in a new approach to broadcasting highlights from selected BHA and BWHA Division 1 matches and other Hockey related content on TV and via YouTube. Follow this Hockey Zone link to find out more.
