Competitions

BWHA will once again hold it’s Summer Competition this year from 4th October to 10th December (10 Weeks) at State Hockey Centre, Colmslie and Easts Hockey Tiger Turf, Carina.

Due to the large amount of people interested in summer hockey, the following information needs to be given out:

• Competitions have limited amount of space – it is first in best dressed
• To be eligible for a competition, you must submit the correct paper work – including payment for deposit and any insurance required – no payment & paperwork; no entry
• BWHA will use Easts Hockey Tiger Turf only if required. Teams may be required to play at Colmslie & Carina – please make sure your players are aware of this and are prepared to travel to both  venues
• Each team has to supply two umpires every week or second week (depending on the draw)

Please find below links to the price guide for 2010 including deposit, insurance and fines. Teams must ensure you have at least 11 players (full field) and 5 players (6-a-side) before registering your team.

Please ensure you have contact details for team members – when games are washed out we need at least two contacts from each team to ensure that you do not turn up for your fixture.

Payment can be made this year (for deposit) by credit card or by direct deposit – please make sure you tick the appropriate box on the registration form (attached).

Tech Bench

We are looking for non-playing technical officials to complete the tech bench duties each night for all competitions, Payment is $20 per game – no experience is required. We will ensure that any new tech officials are trained on the first night. Please find attached a basic outline of the duties required – if you are interested, or your friends, family, partners – then please contact the BWHA Office.

The summer competition is a social competition. Remember it fosters fun, fitness and friendships for all.
