BHL1 Finals Series Match Reports
Lee Oliver and his assistants will be posting Match Reports and photos from the BHL1 Finals Series in this section of the site throughout the 2010 Finals Series.
Your Association asks that all players, coaches, managers and Club officials cooperate with Lee and his assistants at all times. These reports often form the basis of articles that are submitted to the regular Press. The names of the individual report authors and photographers are generally noted with each report, except where the photos are by Lee Oliver.
Usually the Match Reports will be added to the site by Lee during the early part of the week immediately following the matches. Please be patient!
BHA 2010 Best & Fairest Medal winner Jacob Whetton in action.
BHA Annual Awards
Jacob Whetton of Eastern Suburbs was named BHA Best & Fairest Player of 2010 at the combined BHA & BWHA Best & Fairest Medal Presentaion Dinner at The Chifley (Lennons) Hotel, on Saturday 14 August 2010.
Also named was the 2010 BHA Rookie of the Year, Jake Farrell, of Eastern Suburbs, while Allen Schasser took out the 2010 BHA Umpire of the Year award. The Players earning the highest number of Best & Fairest points for each of the respective BHA Clubs were:
- Valley - Callan Short
- University of Queensland - Greg Collins
- United - Adam McClelland
- Redcliffe Leagues - Nick Budd
- QUT - Blair Burden
- Pine Rivers St Andrews - Ryan Kilpatrick
- Labrador - Joe Reardon
- Eastern Suburbs - Jacob Whetton (Winner)
- Commercial - Blair Brown
- Bulimba - Stephen Lambert
Each of these players received a commemorative glass tankard.
