I have played with the Irish u-16,u-18, u-21 teams and in 2008 got my first senior Irish cap against Scotland. I am looking to work and stay in Brisbane for awhile to save before going home. | Hi everyone, a little update to my previous ad., I am looking for two things: 1) A men's club to play field hockey in the Brisbane area. 2) To coach women hockey team in the Brisbane area. My background: I have played a lot of hockey as a forward (left out and left in) while in Pakistan. I have played for my educational institiutions, clubs, etc. I did not pursue it further because I am medical doctor and you can very well imagine how challenging the medical studies can be. I later left for the U.S. for my medical training and had to leave the game that I loved - hockey. I will be moving to Brisbane area around in July 2010 where I would be working as a doctor in the Emergency Department. | MEN'S BHL TEAM - In 2010 Pine Hills Hockey Club Inc. will have at least 15 players who are in their last year of juniors or first year of seniors (i.e. turning 17 or 18). We will therefore be entering a BHL 5 (Turf) team in 2010 and are looking for more field players to play in this team and assist us as we seek to establish our senior men's turf division. WOMEN'S TURF COACHING OPPORTUNITY - Pine Hills Senior Women are currently taking expressions of interest for a Senior Women's Turf Coach. Pine Hills finished runners up in Division 5 in 2009 and are considering trying for Division 4 in 2010. | Hi, I'm a 22 year old Dutchman. From January 13th - June 11th I will be living in Brisbane to do an internship. Because hockey is my thing (I play it for 17 years now) I don't wan't to give it up during my stay in Brisbane! It would be great if I could train (and maybe even play matches) during my stay! The highest level I played in the Netherlands was in a youth team when we played the second highest league. Maybe good to know, my best (and favourite) position is last defender! We have decided to celebrate this milestone with a dinner to be held prior to the start of the 2010 season.
