Creating Simple Draws

These spreadsheets are provided as is and were created by Kim Rendell as a convenient means for the creation of simple draws. They do not represent any system currently employed by BHA for the production of its Fixtures. Visitors are welcome to enter their own data in the "Competing Teams" and "Home Venues" cells and to copy and paste the results into their own documents for their own use.

<-- Use the side menu to select your draw size. For draws with an odd number of teams, use the next highest draw, substitute one team's name with 'Bye'.

Please keep in mind that these are extremely simple spreadsheets. When you change a team name or venue in the top section it will simply change the equivalent fields in the bottom section. When you are happy with it you simply copy and paste each of the two bottom series, separately, one under the other into a separate document (spreadsheet or word processor) of your own. It's important not to alter the references in the bottom section of the draw spreadsheets.

These spreadsheets are online in EditGrid and will reset themselves after you leave the page and therefore can be used over and over. You are welcome to forward the links to these to anyone who may find them useful. Just remember, there's nothing sophisticated in these. The underlying grid is fixed but could easily be altered by anyone with a basic knowledge of such grids. In any case these spreadsheets will allow users to create simple competitions or the sections of more complex competitions whenever the need arises.
