Judiciary Outcomes
For some years BHA Judiciary Committee Hearing outcomes have been published on the BHA Website. It is thought that by doing so, players, officials and supporters can gain a better understanding of the consequences of unacceptable behaviour. Players' and officials' names and the names of the Clubs involved in each Hearing have been removed. The selection of outcomes listed here span several years. Click on a heading to read more . . .

08/1 Red Card - Verbal Abuse of an Umpire

Posted by Administrator (admin) on 05 Sep 2008
Judiciary Outcomes >>

The Judiciary Panel found that a Junior Player was guilty of abuse of an Umpire based upon his own admission. Evidence of threats were in dispute and as such did not contribute to the penalty imposed. However the Panel believed that the Player had the opportunity to walk away from the Umpire but continued to press the matter, even though more than one person tried to drag him away. This contributed to the Sentence being four (4) weeks instead of the minimum two (2) weeks.
