Landscaping in progress at SHC 28 Aug 08IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL SHC USERS
The State Hockey Centre is currently undergoing some earthworks to assist in the prevention of erosion on the cliffs on the southside of fields one and two.  It is EXTREMELY important that players, spectators and officials remain out of this area during this time for a couple of reasons…

·         Safety – until the process has finished (3-4 weeks) it is not a safe area to be in.
·         Damage control – encroaching on this area will damage the surface

The product is made in Queensland and is made from recycled green waste that has gone through a special process; it is totally organic and therefore environmentally friendly and won’t upset the delicate balance in any ecosystem.

It is easily installed via a low impact pneumatic application process and never needs removing. Once the seed has germinated, the whole structure is further stabilised by the grass roots and blends unobtrusively into the surrounding landscape.   It provides a stable barrier that is able to filter silt and other debris before it ends up on our fields and in our waterways.

It adheres to just about any terrain, regardless of the underlying substrate. The purpose of this work is to replace the eroded top layer of the natural soil and with an added bonding agent it is able to arrest the insidious process of erosion.  The soil injected with seed provides optimum conditions for germination.’

Please forward this to your clubs and members and ask them to take heed of the signs posted.
