8.5 Memorial Cup and Presidents Trophy
Memorial Cup and Presidents Trophy shall be conducted under the conditions as determined by the Board. In general, it shall be contested by two teams leading on points in their respective divisions at the conclusion of the first round of Premiership fixtures in the case of the Memorial Cup and at the conclusion of the second round of the Premiership fixtures in the case of the Presidents Trophy or a special competition as determined by The Board.

8.6 Drawn Matches – Memorial Cup, President's Trophy & Premiership Finals
In Memorial Cup, President’s Trophy, Semi-final, Preliminary Final and Grand Final matches where the scores are equal at the conclusion of normal playing time, the winner shall determined on the playing field as per the section "Determination of an Outright Winner".

8.7 Determination of an Outright Winner
When the scores are equal at the conclusion of normal playing time an outright winner shall be determined by extending the duration of the match in accordance with the rules for "Drop-off" as follows:

8.7.1 Drop-off Rules

(a)At the conclusion of normal time there will be a five minute rest during which time the captains will toss a coin to decide ends.
(b)For the first five (5) minute period of "golden goal extra time", each Team shall nominate nine (9) players, including a goalkeeper, to take the field.
(c)After the first five (5) minute period, teams shall remove two (2) players and immediately change ends for re-commencement.
(d)For the second five (5) minute period of "golden goal extra time", only seven players from each Team, including the goalkeeper, shall take the field.
(e)After the second five (5) minute period, teams shall remove two (2) players and immediately change ends for re-commencement.
(f)For the third period of "golden goal extra time", fifteen (15) minutes will be played and only five (5) players from each Team, including the goalkeeper, shall take the field.
(g)Normal interchange rules will apply during extra time.
(h)"Golden goal" means the match will conclude once the first goal has been scored.
(i)If the scores are still equal at the end of "Drop-off" then a Penalty Stroke Competition will follow for the determination of an outright winner.
