8 PREMIERSHIP FINALS SERIES, MEMORIAL CUP
AND PRESIDENT'S TROPHY
8.1
Playing Surfaces to be Used
All Senior and Veterans Semi-finals, Preliminary Finals, Grand
Finals, Memorial Cup Finals and President's Trophy matches shall be
played on the same surfaces used for fixture matches unless otherwise
decreed by the Board. However, where division one junior teams play
the majority of their scheduled fixture matches on artificial surface
they shall play their semi-final and finals series on the artificial
surface.
8.2
Determining Premiership Ladder
Placings
After completion of all competition (fixture) matches, team placings
on the premiership ladder shall be determined for each division.
Premiership points awarded throughout the season are totalled and the
premiership ladder is arranged in descending order, i.e. the team
with the most premiership points appears at the top of the
premiership ladder. In the event of equal points, the team with the
greater goal difference shall be placed higher on the premiership
ladder.
8.3
Minor Premiership
On completion of the premiership rounds the team leading the
premiership ladder shall be declared the minor premiers.
8.4
Finals Playoff Procedure
For a competition/division comprising of nine (9) teams or less the
finals series shall be contested by the teams finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd
& 4th on the premiership ladder. For a competition/division
comprising of ten (10) teams or more the finals series shall be
contested by the teams finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th on the
premiership ladder.
The actual play-off procedures are detailed in the following figures, Figures 1 & 2.
