7 BEST & FAIREST SCORING SYSTEM (Division One only)
The award for the "best and fairest" player in the Division One competition is currently known as the BHA Best & Fairest Medal. It was formerly known as the Fosters Medal and the Oakbridge Medal. Points are allocated for each fixture match on a 3, 2 and 1 basis. The player with the most points at the end of the season is the winner. An award is also made to the player receiving the most points for each team.

The Board will decide the method/system to be used for awarding the best and fairest points.

A player receiving a red card and found guilty of an offence resulting in a fine or suspension shall be disqualified from winning the medal. Players who have not registered "Brisbane" as their Primary Association will not be eligible for "best and fairest" points.

No draws are permitted and players receiving equal points at the end shall be separated by count back. The player receiving the most three point awards shall be declared the winner. If the count is still equal then the player receiving the most two point awards shall be declared the winner. If the count is still equal then the player receiving the lesser number of yellow cards shall be declared the winner. Final determination if necessary shall be made by the senior selection panel for the fosters medal and by a cut of cards or any other method approved by the Board for individual team winners.
