4 PROMOTION AND RELEGATION
4.1 Promotion

(a) Promotion is automatic for any Club team into the next highest division where that team has won the minor premiership and won the premiership, and, where that Club has no team in the next highest division. Such promotion will not apply if the Board or General Committee concludes it to be detrimental to the competition.

(b) Any Club team winning either the minor premiership or premiership will upon request, be automatically promoted to the next highest division, but only if that team's Club does not already have a team in the next highest division.

(c) Any Club team can be promoted into any division but only at the discretion of the General Committee.

4.2 Relegation

(a) Where a team has been promoted into a higher division, the Board or General Committee might decide to relegate the team that finished last in that higher division.

(b) At the request of the Board, the General Committee may decide to relegate a team for best interests of the competition.

5 CONTROL OF MATCHES - ARTIFICIAL SURFACES
The Board will endeavour to appoint Tech Bench Officers wherever possible. The relevant duties are as follows:-

(1) Ensure that all yellow cards are registered on the prescribed team card/sheet.
(2) Ensure that all match cards/sheets are returned to the General Secretary of the BHA.
(3) Operate the score board, where relevant.
(4) Ensure that all artificial surface rules are adhered to by players and officials.
(5) Ensure that player behaviour is appropriate for the circumstances.
(6) Report to the Board in writing, any instances of misconduct, not reported by an umpire.

Each team playing on an artificial surface shall provide one person to assist either the Tech Bench officer/s or the BHA official in charge of the match.

6 REQUIREMENTS FOR TEAM CARDS OR SHEETS AND RESULT SLIPS
6.1 Results
At all grass venues it is the responsibility of the host Club to communicate the results of fixtures played at that venue to the person appointed by the Board no later than 6.00 pm on the day the fixtures are played. Please note that Bulimba and Easts will be designated as host Clubs at the SHC grass venue as per the official BHA Fixture Draw.

At all centrally controlled venues it is the responsibility of the person in charge of the Technical Bench to communicate the results of fixtures played at that venue to the person appointed by the Board on the day the fixtures are played. The results of all matches completed at centrally controlled venues prior to 6.10 pm shall be communicated to the person appointed by the Board no later than 6.30 pm. The results from any remaining matches played at that venue after 6.10 pm shall be communicated to the person appointed by the Board at a later time on the day the fixtures are played.

For 2001 Season the Board has appointed Mr Ferdinand (Ferdi) Steller to receive the results of all matches. The telephone number is: 3241 1040. Callers are greeted by a VoiceMail System and should follow the prompts. When reading each result it should take the form: Division, Team1, Score, Scorers, Result, Team2, Score, Scorers.
